Height Safety
Australian Standards
To comply with AS/NZS 1891.4.2000 Clause 9.3.1, all items of height safety equipment in regular use should be periodically inspected as below or more frequently if recommended by the manufacturer. The inspection and servicing is required to be carried out by a competent person.
- 3 monthly - Fall arrest devices - external inspection only
- 6 monthly - Belts, harnesses, lanyard assemblies and associated equipment
- 12 monthly - Permanently installed anchorages, Fall arrest devices - inspection and full service, Horizontal and vertical life lines
A competent person is defined as someone who has either been trained or has enough experience in using the equipment in such that they can recognise any faults or defects in that equipment. Finding defects in anchorages and horizontal lifelines are more complicated than harnesses and lanyards. Inspection of these items in particular should be referred to someone with sufficient engineering background.

Safety Anchor
The dual bending motions of our new, innovative "Safety Anchor" eyebolt (patent pending) enables it to
use up superior amounts of energy, thereby reducing the forces exerted to the attachment point on the
structure. Comprehensive testing has proved up to 88 percent energy absorption.
The "Safety Anchor" integrated systems approach is supported by a family of products, tailored to the
specific requirements of individual site applications.
All anchors comply with the requirements of AS/NZS 1891.4 clause 9.3.3 and is in accordance with the current code(s) of practice(s) for working at heights.
