Purchasing Manager
Darwin Bolt Supplies are a leading supplier of industrial fasteners and associated tools & consumables throughout Northern Australia.
This position has become available due to the retirement of our current Purchasing Manager; the person we are seeking will have a can do attitude & the self confidence to liaise with other departments in the company, including Sales, Warehousing, Technical Support and customer service.
Reporting to the Branch Manager your role will be to ensure timely delivery of goods & materials from both local and interstate suppliers, investigate & communicate issues and be part of the problem solving team to improve purchasing processes.
Previous experience will include:
- Purchasing from local and interstate suppliers and tracking of incoming shipments
- Stock control within a highly complex environment covering a large number of product codes
- Maximisation of warehouse inventory turnover and material availability by the constant review of stock level holdings
- Development of relationships with key suppliers
- Investigation of and solutions to discrepancies
- Checking off invoices for accuracy for month end reporting
